Sometimes it's hard making sense and to talk about our feelings, experiences and patterns of behaviours. My job is to ultimately help you feel comfort, acceptance, and to listen without judgement.
Some days we'll laugh and realize those light 'ah ha!' moments while other days we will work hard to uncover those deeply personal truths.
The best description of our working alliance is that of emotional safety, unconditional acceptance and FUN! Yes, FUN! - therapy should be a balance between work and feeling energized.

Simply put, to live your 'ideal-self' is to 'live your best life'. Self-actualization occurs when an individuals' ideal-self (who you would like to be), is in harmony with their actual self (current self-image). Finding harmony is to realize one's own potentials, talents and to be consciously moving from surviving to thriving!
Cognitive therapy is not a 'one size fits all.' Humans by nature have complex feelings, emotions and needs that require creative and exploratory treatment plans. I'm a sex-positive, personality-positive therapist who celebrates the uniqueness of each individual.
